After several visits to other fairs in Europe, we had the idea to try the concept in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. It all started in December 2013 when we started looking for a place to create the event.

We therefore asked the Commune of Dudelange if they were going to sponsor us by putting the sports hall of the school Ribeschpont at our disposal. The councilors of the sports department of the municipality were a little skeptical about accompanying us on this project “Sneakers Collectors” but after telling them our own passion that began in 2004 when we started to collect sneakers, collection which has reached today nearly 230 pairs, the idea pleased them and they have therefore made available all the equipment and the hall to embark on the adventure.

And so the first edition of the “Sneakermess” in Luxembourg took place on May 11, 2014.
